And The Candle Fetish Begins...

A shopping trip is never complete without the purchase of a candle.

I have recently developed a love for candles so I thought I would make my first post writing about our two favourites (this shouldn't take long).

Firstly, and obviously, we'll start off with a yankee candle.
I popped into 'Clinton's Cards' on my last venture to St Albans (one of my all time favourite shopping locations) and couldn't refuse taking this baby home with me...
I want to eat it!!!!
As you can see, it is the Vanilla Cupcake scent and the only word to describe it is delicious.
I bought it in a medium size and it was £10.
I would recommend this to anyone, as generic as it is, but it definitely is not overrated.

Just because most people do tend to opt for yankee candles, don't be afraid to venture out of your comfort zone because that's where you find even better products (sometimes)...

So, back in April I was shopping in the Shepherd's Bush Westfield with my friend. We obviously went into Urban Outfitters and unfortunately I had spent most of my money else where (shoutout to topshop) but I still had enough to buy - guess what - a candle.

Urban Outfitters actually have a fairly large range of candles which you can buy in cute little tins. I was literally crouched on the floor for about 10 minutes (no exaggeration)  trying to choose between candles. They all smelt super nice. In the end, I decided on this Raspberry and Papaya one over a Frankincense scent one, purely because we were 4 months past Christmas and into spring so it felt right to pick the fruity one over the Christmas-themed one.
It was priced at £6 which is definitely worth it as you will get several uses.
They have a shortened range on their website: http://www.urbanoutfitters.co.uk/search?q=candles&searchsubmit=&setpagenum=2&perpage=30

Also, I'd quickly like to mention my love for tea lights.
~ignoring the stain from the LUSH bubble bar (The Brightside)~
They are so so cheap and range in scents and colours. They are available from most shops including Asda and Wilkinsons and tend to come in sets of about 30, so you can use them quite frequently and don't need to buy anymore for a while.
Personally, I enjoy lighting a few candles when I have a bath so I find tea lights perfect for sitting on the edge as you can fit more than one.

So yeah, that's about it on candles.
But I'm going to finish off by saying that anyone reading this should definitely invest in the candles I have mentioned above or even buy them as a 'present for mum' but steal them anyway hehe!
